Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov confirmed at a briefing at the Council of Ministers on Friday that he has been informed by caretaker Agriculture and Food Minister Ivan Hristanov that a tipoff was received on Thursday potentially linked to national security.

Gurov said that the review assigned to the Finance Ministry, which has to gather information from all ministers and ministries on existing public procurement contracts, upcoming payments, and advance payments already made, had started.

"All data will be submitted to the Finance Ministry on Monday, and we will announce it as soon as it is summarized. Some things are immediately apparent at first glance. Hristanov has already uncovered a very serious case of corruption, which also has an impact on national security," Gurov said.
