The Central Election Commission (CEC) has appointed the members of all 31 constituency election commissions for the April 19 snap parliamentary elections. The decisions were put to the vote at Friday's meeting of CEC.

Under the Election Code, the regional governors hold consultations on the members of the corresponding constituency election commissions, but over the last days no agreement was reached on most commissions. In this case, the regional governor has to send the documents to CEC immediately. When an agreement has been reached, the regional governor makes a proposal to the Central Election Commission.

Each constituency election commission has one chair, deputy chairs, a secretary, and members. They carry out their functions from the date of appointment to 14 days after the elections, in this case from February 28 to May 3, 2026. The names of the members will be published on the CEC's website.

This year, the members will receive higher remunerations compared to the October 2024 elections in constituencies with over 400 voting sections. There, the commission chair will receive EUR 1,470, the deputy chairs EUR 1,397, the secretary EUR 1,397, and the commission members EUR 1,327 each. In constituencies with under 400 voting sections, the remunerations are the same as in 2024: the commission chair will receive EUR 1,352, the deputy chairs EUR 1,284, the secretary EUR 1,284, and the commission members EUR 1,220 each.
