On Stara Zagora Day, October 5, Stefan Valdobrev and his band The Usual Suspects recorded part of the music for their patriotic project, The Acoustics of Bulgaria, in the concert hall of the Stara Zagora State Opera. This was another landmark whose acoustics the musicians are using for the upcoming album.
Valdobrev emphasized that this is the place his parents took him as a child. "This is where I first fell in love with music. I remember sitting somewhere here, in the second or third row, and they were very long operas, like four hours with two intermissions. No child can last that long", he recalled, noting he would fall asleep on his mother's lap, dreaming of everything that was happening on stage. "And I said to myself how beautiful it is when people sing instead of talk. They suffer, they fight, they are in love, they are happy, but they express it all in singing," he commented.
The Opera House in Stara Zagora, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025, is the primary emblem of the city. Here, the ninth song of the Acoustics of Bulgaria project was recorded, of which the Bulgarian News Agency is the main media partner.
