site.btaBulgaria's Euro Area Accession to Be Marked with Drone Show in Sofia

A special drone show over Knyaz Alexander I Battenberg Square in Sofia will mark the first minutes of Bulgaria’s membership in the euro area, the Finance Ministry said.

The event will be livestreamed on the official online channels of the euro introduction campaign at evroto.bg/bg/live/146# and facebook.com/zaevrotobg.

The Ministry noted that the drone show will take place only if weather conditions are favorable.

With the arrival of 2026, Bulgaria will become the 21st member of the euro area.

The occasion is also expected to be marked by the European Central Bank in Frankfurt with a light show.
