site.btaFireworks Imports to EU Rise in 2024

The European Union imported 120,000 tonnes of fireworks worth EUR 406.7 million from countries outside the EU in 2024, according to Eurostat data made public on Wednesday. This marks a 9.5% increase in volume and a 21.5% increase in value compared with 2023.

Most of these imports entered the EU through the Netherlands (37%) and Germany (35.6%), followed at a distance by Poland (7.4%).

Bulgaria imported fireworks worth EUR 2.421 million, a decrease from EUR 2.985 million the previous year, reflecting a reduction in the volumes of pyrotechnics imported.
