site.btaTennis Player Ivanov Reaches Singles Final in Manacor

Bulgarian Davis Cup player Ivan Ivanov advanced to the singles final of the men’s hard-court tournament at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar on Saturday.

Ivanov defeated fifth seed Jack Loge of Belgium 7-5, 6-4 in the semifinals of the $15,000 tournament.

The 2025 junior world champion served consistently, firing seven aces and conceding just one break of serve.

Ivanov took a 4-2 lead in the opening set, allowed his opponent to draw level at 4-4, but wrapped it up 7-5 with a decisive break in the 12th game. The second set remained on serve until Ivanov led 5-4; he missed his first match point but converted the second to close out the match.

In Sunday’s championship match, Ivanov will face the winner of the match between Russia’s Yaroslav Demin and Pavel Lagutin.

Ranked No. 855 in the ATP men’s rankings, Ivanov extended his strong run in Manacor after reaching another final at the same level earlier this month.
