Taking stock of the outgoing year in a Facebook post on Wednesday, GERB-UDF Deputy Floor Leader Denitsa Sacheva said that 2025 was like a kaleidoscope and predicted that "2026 will not be any easier but it could be clearer."

"The euro area was discussed as if it were both a lifebuoy and an apocalypse at the same time. The truth is more boring - it is just a tool, and tools only work in the hands of people who know what they are doing," the MP said.

"2025 was like a kaleidoscope that you turn lightly: the colors remain the same, but the pattern changes each time. Sometimes it is beautiful. Sometimes it gives a bad headache. But it is always ours," Sacheva wrote.

"Artificial intelligence entered our lives faster than the laws that could regulate it. Bulgaria stood at a crossroads: either to catch up with reason or to lag behind with excuses—and we are still at that crossroads," she noted.

Sacheva believes that "2026 will not be easier, but it could be clearer if we stop waiting for saviours and start calling things by their real names." "If we accept that the future does not 'happen,' but is made - with decisions that do not earn applause but deliver results," the MP added.

"The kaleidoscope is in our hands. The question is no longer what pattern will appear, but whether we will have the courage to turn it," Sacheva noted.
