With the onset of 2026, the Ukrainian city of Odesa has come under a Russian drone attack. Loud explosions are heard in the city.
The unmanned aerial vehicles are being launched from the waters of the Black Sea, said the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, on Telegram.

Local authorities warn everyone to take shelter due to the danger of renewed attacks.
Bulgarians in the Odesa region number more than 150,000 and are the third-largest ethnic group there, according to the latest official census in Ukraine.
In the city of Odesa itself, between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
