A poster exhibition titled Tolerance and curated by Mirko Ilic is on display at Slaveykov Square in Sofia, according to the organizers. The event is dedicated to Sofia Day and marks the start of a programme leading up to the 11th International Triennial of Stage Posters, which will take place in December. The curator will serve as a member of the international jury.

The organizers note that the exhibition explores tolerance in its countless forms - cultural diversity, human rights, equality, and respect for religious, political, social, and sexual differences. In a world facing serious challenges, from social to environmental crises, the project serves as a reminder of the importance of peace and coexistence.

Bulgaria is represented in the exhibition by a poster by Lyuba Tomova, winner of the grand prize at the 10th International Triennial.

The project features works by prominent poster artists from around the world: Milton Glaser, David Tartakover, Paula Scher, Manuel Estrada, Istvan Oros, Peter Bankov, Jianping He, Fons Hickmann, Michel Bouvet, Alejandro Magallanes, Sue Ko, Harry Pearce, Felipe Taborda, Tarek Attrisi, Anette Lenz, Hamzah Abdelal, Niklaus Troxler, Uwe Loesch, Garth Walker, Tom Geismar, Gunter Rambow, James Marshall, and Alain Le Quernec, among others.

Launched in 2017, the collection now comprises more than 200 posters by over 150 artists worldwide. It has been shown in 49 countries, attracting more than 600,000 viewers. It has been exhibited 207 times in different venues and formats, which makes it one of the most significant poster initiatives globally. Seventy works have been selected for the exhibition in Sofia.
