Philip Popoff's exhibition Poem in Wood and Metal, curated by Boryana Raycheva, presents analogue and digital works, which explore the relationship between nature and technology in the contemporary world. The exhibition will open at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Gallery Depoo and will be on until March 30, the organizers said.

The display is composed of two series and reveals the potential of art to communicate complex ideas and emotions through different techniques and means of expression, according to the team. The first series, called Paleomatic, features vector graphics that transport the viewer to the age of Euclid and interpretations of physical space.

The second series is titled Bottom Deep in the Forest, featuring Chinese ink prints that are notable for the lightness and sweep with which they are painted. Bottom Deep in the Forest impacts with its aesthetics and sophistication, challenging us to think about our place in nature and our relationship to it, the organizers said.

Philip Popoff was born in Plovdiv. He graduated from the National Academy of Arts (NAA) with a degree in Graphic Art and Book Design under prof. Hristo Neykov. He specialized in Switzerland. He has over 30 solo exhibitions, including in Tokyo, Cleveland, Zurich. Participated in general exhibitions in Bulgaria, America, UK, France, Italy, etc. Popoff works in printmaking, painting, graphic design and graphic art.
