The newly appointed French Ambassador to Bulgaria, Marie Dumoulin, presented copies of her credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Nikolay Pavlov, the Foreign Ministry reported on Friday.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations between Bulgaria and France and their intensive cooperation in many domains. France’s role as a strategic ally and partner in the EU, NATO, the International Organization of the Francophonie and other international organizations which have both countries as their members, was acknowledged during the talks.
Deputy Foreign Minister Pavlov and Ambassador Dumoulin expressed a shared willingness to further bilateral relations in trade and the economy, direct investment, security and defence, nuclear energy, culture, science and education.
The host wished the Ambassador a successful diplomatic mission in Bulgaria, the Foreign Ministry said.
