Independent Member of Parliament Radostin Vasilev has been charged with attempted coercion of a deputy, he himself said on Monday to journalists on his way out of the National Investigation Service, where he was summoned earlier in the morning.
Upon entering, Vasilev stated that he had no concerns. A few weeks ago, he voluntarily waived his parliamentary immunity.
“According to the accusation, I forced a representative of the people, Hristinka Ivanova from There Is Such a People to leave groups,” Vasilev explained. “I said that I did not threaten anyone and I did not force anyone, which is the truth,” he added. And he noted that he came without a fellow lawyer, which meant that he had no worries whatsoever.
