Handing over the post of Labour and Social Minister to Hasan Ademov at a ceremony on Thursday, Borislav Gutsanov expressed confidence that the Ministry will continue to develop in the most beneficial way for the people. He described it as good news that the Labour Ministry will be headed by someone who knows the system in detail. The most vulnerable people in the country should not suffer from the changes, Gutsanov added.

According to him, the Ministry has so far managed to "save" the money under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and to renovate 81 homes in the country. "We have started building new services," Gutsanov noted. "We have secured 101 new places for elderly people, opened five nursing homes for less than BGN 400,000, and another 40 homes will be opened in the next few weeks," he added, noting that funds have been secured for hot lunches for the most vulnerable people in the family. In his words, his team is leaving the Ministry in good financial condition and on the right track.

Earlier on Thursday, the caretaker government of Andrey Gurov was sworn in before the National Assembly.
