Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov and his cabinet took the oath of office before the National Assembly on Thursday, with President Iliana Iotova in attendance.

Earlier on Thursday, Iotova signed decrees appointing the caretaker government and setting National Assembly elections for April 19, 2026, the President’s administration said.

After the swearing-in of the members of the caretaker cabinet, a handover ceremony was to take place in the Council of Ministers’ Granite Hall, the government press service said.
