site.btaBurgas State University and Trakya University Sign Memorandum of Cooperation

At an official ceremony in Edirne, Turkiye, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Burgas State University Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov and the Trakya University of Edirne. Within the framework of the event, actions were taken to expand the areas of international cooperation between the two universities, said the Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov University team.

The scope of the signed memorandum includes future joint publications, exchange of personnel, exchange of students, organization of joint research programmes, participation in cross-border projects, organization and holding of conferences, seminars and others.

The delegation the Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov University, which visited Edirne, was led by the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Hristo Bozov. Trakya University Rector Prof. Dr.  Erhan Tabakoglu welcomed the Burgas delegation and recalled how in 2014 the two universities participated in the founding of the Balkan Universities Association.

During the visit, Bozov proposed a joint scientific conference in October 2024 where wide range of university professors, scientists and students will have the opportunity to "build the bridge" of their future partnership relations. The Turkish side also accepted Bozov's proposal for the publication of a joint online magazine.
