“We share with Bulgaria a set of priorities that bring us closer—investments in energy, infrastructure, and collaboration on various logistics chains that can serve the needs of our countries while opening new opportunities for cooperation, particularly in the context of Ukraine’s economic recovery,” said Sunday Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean during a joint press conference in Chișinău following his meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, who is paying a two-day visit to Moldova until Monday.

In response to a question about which economic sectors offer the greatest potential for cooperation between the two countries, Recean emphasized technical education as another particularly promising area for joint initiatives.

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov reaffirmed Bulgaria’s support for Moldova’s goal of full EU membership, highlighting that such integration would enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the common market—particularly in the areas of energy and trade.

He underscored the significant opportunities for the export of Moldovan agricultural products, especially wine, and emphasized that Bulgaria can contribute in various areas including industry, mechanical engineering, high technologies, data exchange, and the development of gas transmission infrastructure.

“We see great potential, especially as we move toward implementing the ‘Black Sea Motorway’ project along the South–North axis,” Zhelyazkov added.
