An exhibition titled 'The Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius: Memory and Glorification Through the Centuries" will open Tuesday at the St St Cyril and Methodius National Library, the organizers said.

The exhibition is dedicated to May 24, the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture and of Slavic Literature, as well as to the 1,140th anniversary of the passing of St Methodius. It commemorates the scholars' mission among the Slavic peoples, their canonization as saints, and their glorification during the Middle Ages and the Bulgarian National Revival.

The exhibition is held under the patronage of Vice President Iliana Iotova and is part of cultural events mottoed Year of the Glagolitic Alphabet.
