The 11th Agra, Vinaria and Foodtech Exhibitions is a leading economic event for agribusiness not only in Bulgaria but across the Balkans, Plovdiv International Fair General Director Prof. Ivan Sokolov said during the opening of the event on Tuesday.

He pointed out that the exhibitions are a business platform which combines traditions, innovations and a vision for the future. "Not just machines and technologies are displayed here, but effective solutions," Sokolov emphasized. He noted that over 600 companies from 21 countries and 35 scientific institutes and universities are participating in the event in 2026, as they present their products, technologies, scientific developments and solutions for sustainable development.

"This forum is proof of the trust in Plovdiv as an established centre of business dialogue in the agricultural industry," Sokolov stated, adding that innovation and scientific research are the engine of economic growth, and the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy depends on its ability to adapt and develop a dynamic environment.
