 In November 2025, Bulgaria recorded the EU's highest monthly and annual increases in services production, by 2.9% and 9.9% respectively, according to Eurostat data published on Friday.

In November 2025, compared with October 2025, seasonally adjusted services production decreased by 0.5% in the EU and by 0.6% in the euro area, according to first estimates from Eurostat. In October 2025, services production grew by 0.1% in both the EU and the euro area.

Services growth in Bulgaria slowed down slightly in November compared with October, when a 3.2% increase was recorded, but remained the highest in the EU. Monthly growth stood at 1.4% in September. On an annual basis, however, growth accelerated sharply to 9.9% in November from 5.9% in October and 1.7% in September, again placing Bulgaria first among EU Member States.

Across the EU in November compared with October, services production declined by 0.9% in transportation and storage, 0.2% in accommodation and food services, 0.4% in information and communication, 0.1% in real estate activities, 0.5% in professional, scientific and technical activities, and 0.7% in administrative and support services.

In the euro area over the same period, output fell by 0.7% in transportation and storage, 0.1% in accommodation and food services, 0.1% in information and communication, 0.3% in real estate activities, 0.7% in professional, scientific and technical activities, and 0.6% in administrative and support services.

Among Member States for which data are available, the highest monthly increases were observed in Bulgaria (2.9%), Romania (2.3%) and Slovakia (2.1%). The largest monthly decreases were recorded in Greece (6.0%), Denmark (5.1%) and Hungary (2.0%).

On an annual basis in November 2025 compared with the same month of 2024, services production in the EU fell by 1.6% in transportation and storage, rose by 0.2% in accommodation and food services, increased by 3.0% in information and communication, by 1.2% in real estate activities and by 0.3% in professional, scientific and technical activities. A decline of 0.4% was recorded in administrative and support services.

In the euro area on an annual basis, output fell by 0.3% in transportation and storage, rose by 0.1% in accommodation and food services, increased by 3.2% in information and communication and by 0.3% in real estate activities. Output declined by 0.1% in professional, scientific and technical activities and by 0.6% in administrative and support services.

Among Member States for which data are available, the highest annual increases were recorded in Bulgaria (9.9%), Poland (5.8%) and Latvia and Romania (both 5.0%). The largest decreases were observed in Denmark (13.0%), Hungary (8.9%) and Estonia (2.3%).
