Unit 6 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant was reconnected to Bulgaria’s electricity grid at 11:22 a.m. on December 24, the plant said in a press release on Wednesday. In line with technological regulations, the unit’s load will be increased gradually.

Following the completion of required tests, analyses and inspections by independent organizations, defective protective membrane devices of the turbine’s steam reheaters - located in the conventional, non-nuclear part of the unit - were replaced.

Unit 5 of the Kozloduy NPP is operating according to schedule.
