Readers in North Macedonia are more interested in contemporary Bulgarian writers than in earlier authors, critic Dusko Krstevski said at the launch of the November issue of LIK magazine in Skopje on Wednesday.

Krstevski is among those who have helped popularize in North Macedonia authors such as Georgi Gospodinov, Alek Popov, Zdravka Evtimova, Alexander Sekulov, Kalin Terziyski and Milen Ruskov.

He spoke about the contacts that writers and critics from different countries build during the summer seminar on Bulgarian language, literature and culture in Veliko Tarnovo, in which he took part for eight years, as well as about the Corridor 8 podcast, through which viewers on both sides of the border discover and discuss the work of Dimitar Talev, who is also little known in North Macedonia.

The November issue of LIK magazine, published by the Bulgarian News Agency and presented with the support of the BTA National Press Club in Skopje, is dedicated to the Literature and Memory theme.
