Japan’s Emperor Naruhito received Bulgarian President Rumen Radev in audience on Monday. The meeting lasted half an hour and took place at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and is part of Radev's official visit to Japan.
In the Japanese capital, the Bulgarian head of State is also scheduled to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. The two leaders will sign a Declaration to elevate bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Japan to the level of a strategic partnership.
The official visit will include a formal welcoming ceremony with military honours at the Prime Minister's residence, followed by a bilateral meeting between the two delegations and a joint news conference.
