Bulgaria's Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov Friday arrived in Tirana for the Sixth European Political Community Summit, said the government information service. He was welcomed by his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama.
The theme of the forum is "New Europe in a new world: unity – cooperation – joint action". The leaders will meet in a plenary session dedicated to security challenges and a shared vision for the future of Europe.
Zhelyazkov will participate in a thematic roundtable on "An Open Europe with Secure Borders: Addressing Mobility Challenges and Fostering Youth Empowerment".
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Tirana on Thursday evening.
The meeting will be attended by heads of state or government of the 47 member states of the initiative, including the 27 EU Member States, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Turkiye and the six Western Balkan countries. The meeting is hosted by Prime Minister Edi Rama, together with the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa.
