site.btaVazrazhdane Party Delegation, Led by Kostadin Kostadinov, Attends Victory Day Celebrations in Moscow

A delegation from the Bulgarian political party Vazrazhdane, led by its leader Kostadin Kostadinov, has arrived in Moscow, according to a press release issued by the party on Thursday. Accompanying Kostadinov are fellow MP Kosta Stoyanov and Dobrich Municipal Councillor Veselin Mitev.

The delegation is in the Russian capital to take part in events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism. Kostadinov is the only Bulgarian political leader—and the highest-ranking representative from Bulgaria—invited as an official guest to the Victory Day Parade in Moscow.

His presence, the party states, is a tribute to history, to remembrance, and to those who gave their lives for Europe’s freedom. It is also intended as a statement against the distortion of historical truth. According to the party, Bulgaria is capable of being an equal partner to major powers, and Vazrazhdane is already being recognized as such—both in the East and the West.

"We demonstrate daily that it is possible to maintain partnerships with China, the United States, and the European Union, as well as with the Russian Federation," the party emphasized.

Speaking before his departure for Moscow, Kostadinov said, “The path of sanctions and war is disastrous for Europe. What we need are rational political decisions and political forces that can act as mediators in the peace negotiations Europe so urgently requires.”
