The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry extends its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased, and wishes for speedy recovery, to those injured in the terror attack in Pahalgam, India, which claimed many innocent lives, the department said on the social network X on Wednesday.

Bulgaria strongly condemns all forms of terrorism and supports the people and the government of India, the Foreign Ministry said in its statement.

More than 20 people were killed after a group of suspected militants opened fire on tourists in India's trouble-torn Kashmir region, DPA reported on Tuesday, citing local authorities.

Indian Interior Minister Amit Shah described the attack as a "dastardly act of terror" without giving any details about the attackers.
