The event is scheduled take place around noon at the Ministry of Health's building.
At the end of July, Health Minister Sylvi Kirilov instructed the National Council on Pricing and Reimbursement of Medicinal Products to take steps to publish the prices of medicines in euro. The aim was to provide reassurance and information to Bulgarian citizens in the context of the upcoming introduction of the euro.
To facilitate the process, automatic conversion from BGN to EUR has already been applied to the Registry of Approved Ceiling Prices, the Registry of Maximum Retail Prices, and Annex 4 of the Positive Drug List. Prices in both currencies will also be accessible through a dedicated mobile application.
The early publication of drug prices in EUR is expected to contribute to predictability and stability during the transition to the new currency. The prices in both BGN and EUR will also be accessible through the specially developed mobile application, the Ministry of Health added.
