Bulgaria’s gross domestic product (GDP) for 2025, calculated as the sum of quarterly data, increased by 3.1% in real terms compared with 2024, according to preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI). GDP in 2024 grew by 2.8% compared with 2023, also according to preliminary data, the NSI said here on Friday.
In 2025, GDP reached a nominal value of EUR 116.018 billion. GDP per capita amounted to EUR 18,060. Gross value added totalled EUR 100.934 billion at current prices. In real terms, the indicator was 2.6% higher than in 2024.
In 2024, the nominal value of GDP was EUR 103.441 billion, with EUR 16,052 per capita.
In 2025, the agricultural sector’s share in the economy’s value added was 2.8%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points compared with 2024. The industrial sector generated 24.4% of value added, up 0.2 percentage points year-on-year. The services sector’s share declined to 72.8%, compared with 73.1% in 2024.
