Central Government Sub-sector Reports Revenue Drop in January, M/M

The central government sub-sector reported revenues of EUR 2.812 billion and expenditures of EUR 2.921 billion in January 2026, the National Statistical Institute said on its website on Friday. In the social security funds sub-sector, revenues amounted to EUR 1.572 billion and expenditures to EUR 1.547 billion. 

In December 2025, the central government sub-sector reported revenues of EUR 4.333 billion and expenditures to EUR 4.541 billion, while for the social security funds sub-sector the figures were EUR 1.730 billion in revenues and EUR 1.728 billion in expenditures.
