site.btaBTA’s New Correspondent in Ankara: It Is Important for Media to Have Their Own Style, Correspondents on Site to Tell about Events

Journalist Ayse Sali, who takes over as BTA correspondent in the Turkish capital, said during her official presentation at the BTA Press Club here on Tuesday that it is important for the media to have their own style and their own correspondents on site to tell the story. Sali said that she takes her appointment as BTA correspondent in Ankara as a great responsibility and as an opportunity to present "new nuances and a new picture" of what is happening in the country. This opportunity reveals the different perspective and curiosity of every new journalist, she added.
Recalling the devastating earthquakes in Turkiye of February 2023, which she was sent to cover on the ground as a reporter for Bulgarian National Television, she noted that this is one of the great examples of the solidarity between Bulgaria and Turkiye and of the friendship between the two countries.
"I hope that with everything we are doing here, with the way we are presenting the country, we will ensure the continuation of this friendship, strengthen the economic ties, telling more about the opportunities Turkiye offers to our investors and Bulgaria as an EU country which is close to Turkiye, to the investors here, and of course - to see new things," the journalist added.
