The 17th "A Seed of Love" campaign, organized by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB), once again encourages people to place bird feeders during the winter. The information is published on the organization’s website.

Many birds winter in Bulgaria, such as tits, woodpeckers, sparrows, robins, and jays, the BSPB says. They need extra energy to keep their bodies warm, and people can help them by providing food.

A feeder can be made from a plastic bottle, which can be placed on a balcony, in a yard, or in a nearby park. It should be filled with raw seeds, with sunflower seeds being the most suitable, the experts advise.
