Parliament will not hold a sitting on Wednesday due to lack of quorum, the next sitting will take place on October 16, National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova said on Wednesday.

At the first and only attempt to establish quorum, 61 MPs registered their presence.

Members of Parliament from the MECh parliamentary group held up sheets reading “Resignation” and chanted the same slogan after Nataliya Kiselova declared the absence of quorum and adjourned the session until next day.

“We will no longer be ensuring quorum in Parliament,” GERB leader Boyko Borissov said on Tuesday during a meeting with the GERB-UDF parliamentary group and Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov. “I see no place for GERB in such a government,” he added.
