Many violations have been registered after a comprehensive inspection of a large transport company in Veliko Tarnovo, Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Grozdan Karadzhov said here Tuesday. He was speaking to reporters during a visit for a forum on the economic progress of Northern Bulgaria.
Karadzhov pointed out that among the violations are those for driving with foreign cards, exceeding the rest time, and driving cars without drivers having a contract, adding that acts are being prepared for the violations, some of the findings are being sent to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. "The revocation of the transport company's license will be excessive, these are violations that are also observed in other companies. We will currently be looking for an option to increase the penalties so that this thing stops", he emphasized.
"We are also connecting a number of electronic systems so that we can monitor them remotely, both from the tachographs and through the TOLL system, so that when discrepancies appear, we will be able to stop them directly on the road", Karadzhov stated. "I am more committed to the digitalization and electronicization of the process than to revoking licenses, because this is a company with 470 trucks", he said, adding that it is important how the administrative agency will approach the problem.
When asked about the temporarily revoked license of one of the ground operators at Vasil Levski Airport, Karadzhov noted that all transformation protocols have been activated and he does not expect any problems. "I sincerely hope that this operator and all the others have taken note that there will be no more compromises," he stressed, adding that he hopes that in this two-month period all three licensed operators will go through stress tests by the Civil Aviation Administration and pass them.
