At its regular sitting here on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers adopted a decision authorizing the participation of up to 14 servicepersons from the NATO Deployable Communication Module F (DCM-F) in NATO Mission Iraq for a period of up to 6 months starting from November 1, 2025. The participation of the DCM-F members in NATO Mission Iraq is in line with Bulgaria's aspiration to fulfil its commitments to contribute to collective security, the Government Information Service reported.

NATO Mission Iraq (NMI) is a non-combat advisory and capacity-building mission that assists Iraq in building more sustainable, transparent, inclusive and effective armed forces and security institutions, shows information on NATO's website. NMI was launched at the NATO Summit in Brussels in July 2018, following a request from the government of Iraq, and established in October 2018.
