Foreign Ministry Warns of National Transport Strike in Italy June 20

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is warning of a 24-hour national transport strike in Italy on June 20. In a statement, the Situation Centre said that the timetable of rail and public transport will be disrupted between 9 p.m. on June 19 and 9 p.m. on June 20, with serious disruptions to air traffic in the country expected throughout the day. 

Guaranteed time intervals are provided for minimum services, from 6:00 to 8:45 a.m. and from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for trains and public transport, and from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. and from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for flights. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Bulgarian citizens travelling in Italy to keep up-to-date with the latest information and to plan for possible alternatives in the event of flight delays and cancellations.

In case of need for assistance, Bulgarian citizens in Italy can contact the Bulgarian Embassy in Rome at the following telephone numbers: +39 06 322 4640, +39 06 322 4643, +39 06 322 4648, as well as the mobile phone number for emergencies during non-working hours (+39 349 492 7764). Alerts can also be submitted to the Embassy's email address, consul@bulemb.it.
