Serbia Recorded 2.6% Budget Deficit in 2025

The Serbian Ministry of Finance said on Wednesday that last year the country recorded a budget deficit of RSD 271.4 billion, representing 2.6% of the projected gross domestic product (GDP), the Tanjug news agency reported.

The achieved result is better than expected, considering that a deficit of RSD 314 billion, or 3% of GDP, had been projected, the Ministry said.

Revenues in Serbia’s 2025 state budget amount to RSD 2,278.4 billion, while expenditures total RSD 2,549.8 billion, according to the Ministry of Finance.

According to the official exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia on Wednesday, one euro is exchanged for RSD 117.41.
