site.bta2,000-Plus People with Disabilities Employed in 2023-2024

Bulgaria's Government Wednesday adopted a report on the implementation in 2023 - 2024 of the action plan to implement the 2021–2030 National Strategy for Persons with Disabilities. According to the report, more than 2,000 people with disabilities were employed in 2023-2024 through programmes and measures funded under the National Employment Action Plan. 

The document includes data from institutions and organizations involved in disability policy and the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Bulgaria.

The report said that during the reporting period, 153 individuals who use wheelchairs or have mobility impairments were provided with accessible housing under the National Programme for Accessible Housing and Personal Mobility.
