President Rumen Radev Monday met with the Chairman of the Moldovan Taraclia Region, Ivan Paslar, the President's press secretariat reported. Their conversation was a continuation of the joint visit of the Bulgarian head of State and the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, at the Gregory Tsamblak Taraclia State University in Moldova last month.

The financing of the educational institution, cooperation for the renewal of the curriculum and the improvement of conditions for students were the focus of the conversation between Radev and Paslar. Radev stated that the funds allocated by the Bulgarian state to the university should be spent in strict compliance with the principles of accountability and transparency and in accordance with legal requirements. "It is necessary to increase the interest of young people in the educational institution, which requires the inclusion of promising specialties," said the Bulgarian President.

On behalf of the Bulgarian community in Moldova, Paslar expressed his gratitude for the support of the Bulgarian state and President Radev for the preservation of the administrative-territorial integrity of the Taraclia region and for the efforts made for the development of the Taraclia State University.
