The Council of Ministers allocated EUR 25,564,594.06 for road infrastructure projects in the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works’ 2026 budget, the government press service said here on Wednesday.

The funds are for capital spending on projects carried out by the Road Infrastructure Agency. This allows payments to be made for completed work on sites that are strategic and essential to improving the quality of transport infrastructure and ensuring safe, high-quality road links.

The funding is covered by verified and reimbursed costs under the Transport Connectivity Programme 2021-2027. After the State Budget Act of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2026 is adopted and enters into force, changes to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works’ budget will be made under the Public Finance Act.
