site.btaCaretaker PM to Discuss Next Parliamentary Elections with Central Election Commission

Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov will meet with the leadership of the Central Election Commission (CEC) at the CEC headquarters on Friday afternoon, the government press service reported. The agenda will cover the upcoming early parliamentary elections scheduled for April 19, 2026.

On Thursday, President Iliana Iotova signed a decree scheduling the elections, and the CEC adopted a timeline for the parliamentary elections.

Earlier Friday, Gurov will meet with representatives of the students who participated in the protests in December 2025. The caretaker Prime Minister and the students will discuss the elections.
