site.btaPresident Decrees Appointment of Caretaker Cabinet, Early Elections on April 19

President Iliana Iotova has signed decrees appointing a caretaker government headed by Andrey Gurov and scheduling parliamentary elections for April 19, the head of State's press secretariat reported on Thursday morning.

In a third decree, Iotova determined the numbering, names, and boundaries of the electoral districts for the early general elections.

The head of State will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the caretaker government at the National Assembly on Thursday, the press release also said.

Gurov presented his proposal for a caretaker government lineup to the President on Wednesday.
