At its meeting on Wednesday, the outgoing Council of Ministers approved additional expenditure of EUR 25 million under the budget of the Transport and Communications Ministry. The funds will be allocated to the National Railway Infrastructure Company to cover payments for work already completed on strategic railway projects financed by the European Union and the national budget.

The decision is directly linked to the implementation of the methodology for adjusting public procurement contract prices in response to inflation, which was adopted by a Council of Ministers decree in 2022.
