Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed regional energy security and ways to strengthen cooperation in this area by phone, the Council of Ministers said on Thursday on Facebook.

Other topics of their discussion included security with a focus on the Black Sea, as well as the possibilities offered by the European SAFE instrument.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also reported on the conversation on his Facebook page. “I had a conversation with Prime Minister of Bulgaria Rossen Jeliazkov.

We discussed strengthening energy cooperation and agreed on steps that will enhance energy security in our region. There are concrete decisions, and we will certainly implement them,” Zelenskyy wrote in his post.
