site.btaBAS President Joins Anniversary Celebration of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) President Evelina Slavcheva took part in the official celebration of the anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) in Baku, BAS said on Thursday. The official ceremony took place at the ANAS Central Building. ANAS President Isa Habibbayli opened the event with an address entitled “ANAS: History and Present”.

In her congratulatory message to ANAS, Slavcheva commended the efforts of the Azerbaijani scientific community to promote research in the Republic of Azerbaijan and to strengthen the role of ANAS as a leading scientific institution in the country. She highlighted the Academy’s contribution as a link between the Azerbaijani and international scientific communities.

Slavcheva pointed to the successful cooperation between BAS and ANAS, which has resulted in joint initiatives and research projects in priority fields. BAS is committed to further strengthening ties between the two academies and exploring new avenues for cooperation, Slavcheva said.
