People should plan their trips to Greece carefully due to the nationwide 24-hour strike in the country, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said on its website on Wednesday.
A nationwide 24-hour strike organized by the General Confederation of Greek Workers has been called in Greece on Wednesday. The strike action is expected to affect public services in Greece, including maritime and air transport. All categories of ferries and cargo ships will not run. Airline dispatchers will also take part in the strike action and will not operate civil flights. Only some categories of special flights will be operated, the Ministry informed.
The Foreign Ministry recommended that Bulgarian citizens temporarily or permanently residing in Greece plan their trips carefully, consider alternate routes if possible, and contact their carrier to check for any schedule changes prompted by the upcoming strike.
