site.btaGotse Delchev to Host Ethno-Jazz Concert Featuring Artists from Indonesia and Mallorca

An ethno-jazz concert featuring musical groups from Indonesia and Mallorca will be held in Gotse Delchev on Monday, August 11, the Gotse Delchev Municipality press service said here on Friday. The event in the City Park will have free admission.

The concert is organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Sofia and the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Bansko.

The programme will include the world-renowned Indonesian ensemble Keubitbit and the group Qanat from Mallorca. The Indonesian musicians will arrive in Gotse Delchev after their performance at the Bansko Jazz Festival. This will be the second presentation of Indonesian jazz in the town, following the concert of the band Vertigong in 2024. Keubitbit’s repertoire combines traditional Indonesian motifs with contemporary jazz arrangements.

For the first time, the group Qanat will perform before an audience in Gotse Delchev. Their project blends influences from the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Central Asia, with compositions showcasing the cultural exchange between different musical traditions.
