The body of the missing Bulgarian citizen was found in the Turkish town of Iskenderun, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BTA on Thursday.

The search for a Bulgarian woman and her child from the town of Antakya continues.

The Consular Service of the Bulgarian Embassy in Turkiye has set up an emergency reception, if necessary, of applications for travel documents of Bulgarian citizens affected by the earthquake who wish to evacuate to Bulgaria.

At least 12,873 people were reported dead and 62,937 injured after devastating earthquakes hit southern Turkiye on Monday, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said Thursday.
