Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (ARF) Floor Leader Hairi Sadakov told journalists in Parliament on Wednesday that Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) Deputy Governor Andrey Gurov is the most distant from the current model and that his party expects real action and tangible effects.

Earlier on Wednesday, President Iliana Iotova nominated Gurov as candidate for caretaker prime minister.

"We are consistent in our actions. We mentioned him yesterday, and today we share President Iotova’s vision regarding the choice of caretaker prime minister," Sadakov underscored.

After receiving the mandate and forming a government, Gurov should take into account everything that has been observed and discussed over the past two months, as well as what has been heard from voters, ARF representatives said. They also called for the organization of fair elections in the best possible way at all levels, including the reporting of results.

"All of us are involved in this commitment, but the government must assume its responsibility," Sadakov stressed.
