site.btaGovernment Approves Memorandum of Understanding with Liebherr

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the outgoing government adopted a decision approving a draft memorandum of understanding between the government and Liebherr-Transportation Systems Marica EOOD, for the implementation of the "Establishment of a new Liebherr production base in Bulgaria" priority investment project. The company's investment amounts to BGN 149,648,000 and is expected to create 175 new jobs.

At the new production site in the village of Benkovski, Maritsa Municipality, Plovdiv Region, products for the aerospace industry will be manufactured, tested, and developed. These include primary flight control actuators, transmission shafts for actuating wing high-lift devices, landing gear actuation systems, and aircraft environment control systems.

The establishment of the new business facility is driven by increasing orders to the company from customers, including Airbus (EU) and Embraer (Brazil).
