site.btaSupreme Administrative Court Annuls Municipal Council Elections in Pazardzhik

The Supreme Administrative Court has annulled the Municipal Council elections in Pazardzhik over considerable election violations. The decision, which is final and was published Thursday on the court's website, upholds a decision by the Pazardzhik Administrative Court that cancelled the results from the October 29, 2023 election of municipal councilors.

The decision will prompt the disbandment of the current Municipal Council, which has been working for over a year and a half, and reinstatement of the previous Municipal Council.

The Central Election Commission will have to ask the President to schedule new elections for a municipal council in Pazardzhik.
