Launch of Verizon's Community Disaster Resilience Initiative
IMAGE DISTRIBUTED FOR VERIZON - Verizon, in partnership with United Way and Habitat for Humanity, launched its new Community Disaster Resilience initiative last week in Tampa, FL. Verizon has long supported disaster-impacted areas and this new comprehensive program will further empower these communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters with greater confidence. Verizon will make deep community investments that support proactive measures including educational resources and planning workshops, as well as long term recovery efforts like the rebuilding of damaged and destroyed homes. The initiative will pilot in 15 cities across the country.
